Manage Policy
The Manage Policy view shows the future and history of the different versions of a specific data policy. For data policies with multiple versions, this view shows a continuous timeline that itemizes the first instance when this data policy was created and when multiple versions exist, every other version through the present and into the future.
Cortex Data Management: Manage Policy View
The timeline view provides data provenance by itemizing the rules and conditions that govern data ownership, origins, custody, context, transformations, and delivery, with full details on the policy origins and any changes in that policy for the entire life of the data while it exists on Adara servers.
Information
The Manage Policy view shows the future and history of the different versions of a specific data policy.
- Each row shows the date that policy version became or is scheduled to become effective.
- Black signifies past versions of the data policy.
- A green box shows the current version of the data policy.
- Blue denotes future versions of the data policy.
Interface
Hover over any data policy version row to view the following basic actions and selections available for that row:
- Select a version row or select ⋁ in a version row to expand that row to see more information on this data policy version. If a version row is expanded, select ⋀ to collapse it to view less information.
- Select <> to view a Policy Details window with the full configuration details for a specific policy version. If a JSON panel is open for a data policy version, select X to collapse it to view less information.
- Select ⊕ or New Policy to Create New Policy version using this version as a template.
- For future data policies which have not yet become effective, select the Edit pen icon to Edit a Policy Version,
- Select Back or Cancel to return to the Manage Data Policy view.
